3 Great Reasons for Becoming Energy Efficient

There are many ways you can benifet from being energy efficient. Some people don't realize this but it's true. The top three reasons for becoming energy efficient are:

1. You spend less money being energy efficient- Who doesn't like to save money? Being energy efficient allows you to save money because you lower the amount of energy you use. For example, you would save money on gas if you buy a hybrid car.

2. It helps improve the economy- We would spend less money on fuel, and it also makes thousands of jobs for people to make buildings and other things more efficient.

3. It helps reduce the amount of pollution released- We would need to burn less fossil fuels to generate electricity at power plants and our cars would use less fuel to run. Also, I don't think you would like living in a city covered in smog.

Why Energy Efficiency?

Before viewing this blog, i would like the reader to understand the term Energy Efficiency. Energy efficiency is pretty much getting more out of sources of energy. Some people tend to mix up energy conservation and energy efficiency.
Incandescent light bulbs, for example,  are less efficient than fluorescent light bulbs. You get the same amount of light from both light bulbs yet, the florescent light bulbs use less electricity, making it more efficient. Turning off the light bulbs or using less light bulbs would be part of energy conservation, because you are using them less.
The reason why I chose energy efficiency is because I'm thinking about majoring in environmental science, in which becoming energy efficiency is one the goals. With this blog, I would like to show people how to save energy which will help them save some money and also help the environment.
